DV ကို ပြောင်းလဲဖို့ ခြေလှမ်းစနေပြီ

ကမ္ဘာတဝှမ်းလူသိများတဲ့ DV lottery program နဲ့ပတ်သက်ပြီး ပြုပြင်ပြောင်းလဲမှုတွေ လုပ်ဖို့ US Department of State ကနေ ဩဂုတ်လ ၅ ရက်နေ့က စပြီး အများပြည်သူတွေရဲ့ သဘောထားတွေကို စတင် ကောက်ယူနေပြီ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်၊

DV lottery program ဆိုတာ ကမ္ဘာအနှံ့က လူတွေကို အမေရိကန် နိုင်ငံသား ဖြစ်ခွင့်ပေးတဲ့ အစီအစဉ်တစ်ရပ် ဖြစ်ပြီး နှစ်စဉ် လူဦးရေ ၅၀၀၀၀ ကျော်ကို မဲဖောက်ပေးနေတဲ့ လူကြိုက်အများဆုံး အစီအစဉ်တစ်ခုပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်၊ US Department of State က DV လျှောက်ရာမှာ ကြုံတွေ့နေရတဲ့ လိမ်လည်မှုတွေကို လျှော့ချဖို့အတွက် လျှောက်လွှာ ဖြည့်သူတိုင်းဟာ သက်တမ်းရှိတဲ့ နိုင်ငံကူး လက်မှတ် ရဲ့ အချက်အလက်တွေနဲ့ Bio Page ကိုပါ ပူးတွဲတင်ပြဖို့ အဆိုပြုလာပါတယ်။

ဆိုလိုတာက အရင်ကဆိုရင် DV ကို ပတ်စ်ပို့ မရှိလည်း လျှောက်ထားနိုင်ပေမယ့် ခု အဆိုပြုတဲ့ စည်းမျဉ်းအသစ်သာ အတည် ဖြစ်သွားရင်တော့ ပတ်စ်ပို့ရှိမှသာ DV ကို လျှောက်ထားနိုင်တော့မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်၊ သို့ပေမယ့်လည်း ချွင်းချက်ကတော့ ရှိနေပါတယ်၊ ပတ်စ်ပို့ မကိုင်နိုင်တဲ့ နိုင်ငံမဲ့တွေ၊ အစိုးရဆီက ပတ်စ်ပို့ရဖို့ ခက်ခဲသူတွေ ဒီလူတွေကတော့ ပတ်စ်ပို့မရှိလဲ DV ကို လျှောက်ထားနိုင်မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်၊

ဒီအဆိုပြုထားတဲ့စည်းမျဉ်းက အတည်ပြုပြီးသား မဟုတ်သေးဘဲ အများပြည်သူတွေရဲ့ ထင်မြင်ချက်တွေကို စက်တင်ဘာ ၁၉ အထိ လက်ခံနေပြီး သတ်မှတ်ရက်ကျော်မှသာ စိစစ်ပြီး စည်းမျဉ်းကို အတည်ပြုမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်၊ ဒါပေမယ့် နောင်လာမယ့် DV လျှောက်လွှာ ဖွင့်ချိန်မှာ ဒီစည်းမျဉ်းက စတင် အသက်ဝင်လာနိုင်ပါတယ်။

The DV Program is taking steps toward change.

In a move to reform the popular DV lottery program, the U.S. Department of State began soliciting public feedback on August 5th. The DV lottery program is a well-known program that grants people from around the world the chance to become U.S. permanent residents, with over 50,000 people being selected annually through a lottery.

The U.S. Department of State has proposed that to reduce fraud encountered during the DV application process, all applicants must submit their valid passport information and a copy of their passport's bio page.

This means that while applicants could previously apply for the DV lottery without a passport, the new proposed rule would require a passport to apply. However, there are exceptions for stateless people or those in countries where obtaining a passport from the government is difficult. These individuals would still be able to apply without a passport.

This proposed rule is not yet finalized. Public comments are being accepted until September 19th, and the rule will be reviewed and finalized after this deadline. However, this rule may come into effect for the next DV program.
