အမေရိကားမှာ နိုင်ငံခြား ကျောင်းသား တချို့ဟာ Duration of status ဆိုတဲ့ ခေါင်းစဉ်အောက်မှာ အချိန်ကာလ အကန့်အသတ် မရှိဘဲ နေထိုင်ခွင့် ရခဲ့တာ ကြာပါပြီ၊ ဒါကြောင့် အချို့သော ကျောင်းသားတွေ က အမေရိကန်ရဲ့ ရက်ရောမှုကို အခွင့်ကောင်း ယူပြီး အမေရိကားမှာ ဆက်နေခွင့် ရဖို့အတွက် ကျောင်းတွေမှာ အဆက်မပြတ်စာရင်းပေးသွင်းပြီး ထာဝရ ကျောင်းသားများ အဖြစ် နေထိုင် နေကြပါတယ်။
ဒါတွေကြောင့် ထရန့်အစိုးရဟာ စည်းမျဉ်းသစ်တစ်ရပ်ကို ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ ဗုဒ္ဓဟူးနေ့က ကြေညာခဲ့ပါတယ်၊ ဒီစည်းမျဉ်းသစ်မှာ နိုင်ငံရပ်ခြား ကျောင်းသားတွေအနေနဲ့ နေထိုင်ခွင့်ကာလ ၄ နှစ်ထက်မကျော်လွန်စေရဘူးဆိုတာ ပါလာပါတယ်၊ ထရန့်ရဲ့ အရင် သမ္မတ သက်တမ်းမှာ အဆိုပြုခဲ့ပေမယ့် ဘိုင်ဒင်အစိုးရက ပြန်ရုပ်သိမ်းခဲ့တာပါ။
ဒီသတင်းက မြန်မာပြည်ကနေ အမေရိကားကို F-1 visa နဲ့ ထွက်လာဖို့ ကြိုးစားနေတဲ့ ကျောင်းသားတွေ သတိပြုရမယ့် လူဝင်မှု ကြီးကြပ်ရေး စည်းမျဉ်းအသစ်တစ်ခုပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Is the U.S. going to regulate F-1 visas?
For a long time, some foreign students in the U.S. have been granted indefinite residency under the "Duration of Status" provision. As a result, some of them have taken advantage of America's generosity by continuously enrolling in schools to maintain their residency, effectively becoming "perpetual students."
Because of this, the Trump administration announced a new regulation last Wednesday. This new rule would limit the residency period for foreign students to no more than four years. This was originally proposed during Trump's previous presidency but was later withdrawn by the Biden administration.
This news is an important new immigration rule for students in Myanmar who are trying to come to the U.S. on an F-1 visa.
