New Zealand's New Long-Stay Visitor Visa for Parents
The New Zealand government has introduced a new Parent Boost Visitor Visa, which allows permanent residents to bring their parents to the country. With this visa, parents can stay for up to 10 years, though it does not provide a path way to permanent residency.
The new Parent Boost Visitor Visa will be available starting on September 29. Initially, parents will be granted a 5-year stay, with the option to renew for another 5 years. Another benefit is that it is a multiple-entry visa.
To be eligible, parents must meet New Zealand's health and moral requirements. The sponsoring adults must also show proof of a good income. Additionally, applicants must have valid New Zealand health insurance.
