Head of German Public TV's US Bureau Faces Possible Visa Revocation
The head of German public broadcaster ZDF's Washington bureau, Elmar Theveßen, may be forced to leave the United States after a series of criticisms directed at senior US government officials.
On September 11th, during a debate, Theveßen allegedly disparaged Kirk, who was a victim of an assassination attempt. He reiterated this stance on a ZDF podcast. In the same podcast, Theveßen also criticized the US Homeland Security advisor and used the term "Third Reich." The term "Third Reich," which translates to "Third Empire" in German, is a direct reference to Nazi Party, and its use has caused significant controversy.
Theveßen, who has led ZDF's Washington office since 2019, could have his visa revoked and face deportation from the United States if he is deemed an extremist.

အဲဒီ Podcast မှာပဲ Theveßen ဟာ အမေရိကန် ပြည်တွင်းလုံခြုံရေးအကြံပေး ဖြစ်သူကိုလည်း တိုက်ခိုက်ခဲ့ပြီး Third Reich ဆိုတဲ့ အသုံးအနှုန်းကိုပါ ထည့်သွင်း ပြောကြားခဲ့ပါတယ်၊ ဂျာမန် ဘာသာစကားနဲ့ Third Reich ဆိုတာက တတိယ အင်ပါယာ လို့ အဓိပ္ပါယ် ရပြီး နာဇီဂျာမနီကို ရည်ညွန်းတာမို့ အဲ့ဒီ စကားနဲ့ ပတ်သက်ပြီး တော်တော်လေး ပွက်လောရိုက်နေပါတယ်။
အမေရိကားက ZDF ရဲ့ ဝါရှင်တန်ရုံးကို ၂၀၁၉ ခုနှစ်ထဲက ဦးဆောင်လာခဲ့တဲ့ သူဟာ အစွန်းရောက် အဖြစ် သတ်မှတ်ခံခဲ့ရရင်တော့ ဗီဇာရုပ်သိမ်းခံရနိုင်ဖွယ်ရှိနေပြီး အမေရိကန်ကနေ ထွက်ခွာရဖို့ များပါတယ်။
