World's Largest Museum Opens in Cairo, Egypt

The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), which recently had a soft opening in Cairo, is set to officially open on November 1st. This is one of the world's largest museums, a project that has been in the works for over 20 years with a budget of more than a billion dollars. The museum showcases nearly 50,000 artifacts, some of which are over 5,000 years old. It is considered to be one of Egypt's most magnificent undertakings since the Great Pyramids of Giza.

Upon entering the museum, visitors are greeted by a 36-foot-tall, 3,200-year-old statue of King Ramses II, which stands imposingly in the sun-drenched atrium. The museum provides a chronological journey through Egypt's history, from its earliest dynasties to its decline. By exploring the exhibits—which include papyrus scrolls, mummies, and statues—visitors can gain a deeper understanding of ancient Egyptian culture.

Additionally, the museum features several gift shops where you can purchase Egyptian souvenirs, such as traditional cotton textiles, mother-of-pearl accessories, and beautifully handcrafted rugs. If you get tired from walking, there's also a cafe where you can rest and enjoy traditional Egyptian food. The GEM is definitely a must-visit destination if you are in Cairo.

ဒါ့အပြင် ပြတိုက်ထဲမှာ လက်ဆောင်ပစ္စည်းဆိုင်တွေ ရှိပြီး အီဂျစ်ရိုးရာ ဝါဂွမ်းထည်တွေ၊ ကမာခွံနဲ့လုပ်ထားတဲ့ ပစ္စည်းတွေ၊ အလွန် လှပတဲ့ကော်ဇော်တွေ စတဲ့ အမှတ်တရ ပစ္စည်းတွေကိုလည်း ဝယ်ယူနိုင်ပါတယ်၊ လှည့်လည်ပြီးလို့ မောပန်းလာပြီဆိုရင် အနားယူဖို့ ကော်ဖီဆိုင်တစ်ခုလည်း ရှိပြီး အီဂျစ်ရိုးရာ အစားအစာတွေလည်း ရနိုင်ပါတယ်။ ဒီပြတိုက်ကြီးဟာ ကိုင်ရိုကို ရောက်ရင် မဖြစ်မနေ သွားရောက် လည်ပတ်သင့်တဲ့နေရာတစ်ခု လည်း ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
